Here Comes the Sun

I was at my colorist, Marco Pelusi, yesterday to get my gray covered and my ends richened up. My hair has been on the dry side lately, a bit frizzy and dehydrated. What I really needed was a deep conditioning treatment, but time was not on my side.

The day before a trip, always seems to be the busiest day, Murphy's law? It never fails, there always seems to be more emails to return, more fires to put out, let alone errands and packing.

Marco's studio is on the famed Robertson Blvd. just north of Melrose Ave. With the West Hollywood Book Fair this week and the new lunch time valet, parking was sparse. I finally found a spot about 1/4 mile down Melrose Avenue.

As I was getting my color rinsed, I realized that my parking meter would need to be fed if I were to get my hair blown out and not get a ticket. This is when Vicky came up with the brilliant idea.

She put extra conditioner in my hair, clipped it up and I walked to my car allowing the conditioner to be heated by the sun. I got my deep conditioning treatment and I didn't get a ticket.

I did receive some interesting looks walking down LA's trendiest streets in a salon cape that didn't want to stay closed and wet, white hair, but hey, I say cheap thrills for everyone!

That's very clever. How did your hair turn out?
