I have been committed to Stella McCartney Perfume for quite some time. Stella's exploration of the rose in her fragrance is intoxicating. And, it is really nice when you are constantly asked "what are you wearing? You smell amazing!" After a trip to Nordstrom with my sister in law to explore the purchase of a new fragrance, I still ended up with Stella.
Until recently, I didn't stray. I was sent some samples of a line of fragrances that are light and lovely. After some research, I learned that Nouveau Paris has been around since 2005. Wish I would have known! The scents range from sweet to sophisticated but they are all subtle. I am personally not a fan of overpowering fragrance so I fell for these at first sniff. My personal favorite is Pink Burgeon a blend of the riches of the orient, Asian pear, tangerine, and Chinese magnolia, with the rose petal and white iris of the occident.

Nouveau Paris' Les Fleur line for women.
Another scent that peeked my interest was Sweet Grass. When i opened the bottle it really reminded me of the clean scent fresh cut grass, just a little bit sweeter. The fragrance combines apple leaf, mint and grapefruit. (Sounds like it would make a delicious cocktail.)
The brilliance of the line goes beyond the single fragrances. Nouveau Paris encourages fragrance layering. You can channel a perfumer in the privacy of your own bathroom and create concoctions that inspire you. If you're a bit clueless about bottom notes, top notes, compatible fragrances and the like, click here. Nouveau Paris provides a fragrance pairing menu.
I still love Stella but Nouveau Paris is definitely now in the rotation.
What are your favorite fragrances?
